About
Ewelina Skowronska (b. Poland) is a London-based artist and painter whose practice has been significantly influenced by living in Japan for the last eight years.
Skowronska employs painting, mixed media printmaking, and natural dyes to explore the concept of reconnecting with the intangible and invisible aspects of our environment. Her recent works investigate this theme by questioning our anthropocentric perspective and emphasizing our dependence on nature. Skowronska focuses on the ephemeral and unspoken aspects of the natural world, utilizing the potential of natural plant dyes and their historical, herbal, and symbolic properties. This unique combination of media allows her to create powerful contrasts and a captivating visual experience.
